Prison service: Tymoshenko
had 2 meetings a day
The State Penitentiary Service has calculated that former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko had 148 meetings during her stay in Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital No 5 in Kharkiv, I.e. she received visitors on average twice a day, the press office of the State Penitentiary Service reported.
"During her stay in Ukrzaliznytsia's Central Clinical Hospital in Kharkiv from May 9 to August 26 (almost four months) this year, she held 148 meetings lasting more than 226 hours. Accordingly, the prisoner on average has two meetings a day," read the statement.
According to the penitentiary service, Tymoshenko had 94 meetings with her defence lawyers in hospital, which lasted more than 175 hours. She also had 54 meetings with other persons. The duration of these meetings was almost 51 hours.
The State Penitentiary Service said that Tymoshenko had 51 meetings with her lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, which lasted more than 101 hours. The ex-premier's defence lawyer and daughter, Yevhenia Tymoshenko, met with her 30 times (more than 56 hours). Tymoshenko also had 17 meetings with representatives of foreign states in Kharkiv's hospital, excluding visits by German doctors. (Ukrinform)
