I talk about the picture, you talk about you and me)))
It seems you're not from my circle #4
    Regretfully

To start with, there were no numbers on that picture, that's why I have no idea which is #4 for you. ))
Secondly, who told you I wanted to be 'from your circle'? ))
    Thirdly,

Пришел, не понял, наследил, как говорится.
И тема для вас не супер, и я не фонтан. Ну что ж поделать? Так тому и быть. "Помочь тут нечем." ))

Would it be better to say I want to be?
It depends on whether it deals with the past or present.

A retired person might say 'I wanted to be an actor when I was young'.

A 5-year-old might say 'I want to be a pop star when I grow up'.

    Is that what you mean?

Even if it's happening now, it's important to know what you, as a speaker, mean.
If you finish your phrase after 'I want to be...', it'll be easier to answer your question.

No answer is possible without a clear context. Otherwise, it can have several versions.

По умолчанию Which Programming Language Is the Most Fun to Learn?

When you enroll in a computer programming class, you should probably expect an intense time, but no one expects the Spanish Inquisition. If that reference is lost on you, then the Python programming language might not be the way to go. Named after the famous British comedy troupe Monty Python, the language is described by its builder as a "very-high-level language" that's "simple to use." Yes, that kind of sounds like something from one of the group's sketches, which is probably because the Python programming language is not only named after the hugely popular BBC show that first aired in 1969, but when you're working on it, you're encouraged to toss in some Python-esque humor whenever possible. Still, it's a serious language. According to its website, Python "combines remarkable power with very clear syntax. It has interfaces to many system calls and libraries." It can also be used on PCs, Macs, and with many Unix variants. Guido van Rossum, the Dutch developer who created Python, released it in 1991 but oversaw its management until 2018. He was given the title of "Benevolent Dictator for Life."

    They were something completely different:

The Monty Python members tried many other strange, non-sequitur names before settling on Monty Python's Flying Circus; it has no other meaning.

At Monty Python member Graham Chapman's funeral in 1989, everyone gathered to sing "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life," from The Life of Brian.

The famous "Dead Parrot" sketch was based on a car salesman who refused to admit any issues with the vehicle to potential buyer Michael Palin.

stop this english-for-dummies, it's getting sometimes boring. we need here some serious stuff.

I was attending some technical meeting today with uk colleagues and was completely lost in discussion with with word "intension".
I heard it as "intention", and lost the topic completely.
Had to ask to roll back.

Quite strange that I knew the word, but was completely not ready for that.
(Not sure there is a one-word Russian translation for that.)

why on earth, do they allow same pronunciation for totally other meaning..???

Do I owe you anything? I don't think so. Have I named this topic 'Advanced English'? No really.
The more you give to people for free, the less they value what they get.
There might be something in the air today, as I've just blocked a lady on one of the social networking sites who was being too arrogant and showed disrespect. Please, be polite and don't spread prejudice.

Firstly, stop stopping me, as entertaining you personally wasn't my intention at all.
Secondly, be tolerant to the rest of the readers who are of different levels of English.
Otherwise, create your own not-so-boring topic and be the host there. There're some on the forum already with no visitors, though. That's what they usually become most of the time.

Thirdly, you probably missed the point of the discussion because you hadn't studied linguistics or logic as subjects, unlike your UK colleagues.

    Yes, it has several ones.
    Science Dictionary:
    1) интенсивность 2) интенция 3) содержание
    Universal Dictionary:
    1) напряжение, усилие (Syn: effort , strain I 1.)
    2) напряжённость, интенсивность; сила (Syn: tensity , tenseness)
    3) лог. сущность понятия, содержание термина
    Economics Dictionary:
    1) напряжение
    2) усиление, интенсивность (Syn: intensity , density , rate)
    Computer Dictionary:
    I. интенция, содержание (понятия)
    II. интенсивность
    etc.
    Not everyday terminology, right?

How about 'there/their; son/sun, see/sea' etc.? You are familiar with most of them, but such language units might appear at any level of English. The higher, the trickier.

Has anyone ever told you there are lots of homophones in English? Those are part of what you call 'boring stuff'.
P.S. If there's no 'a' before the word 'part' in a sentence, it usually means 'an essential part'.

Firstly, stop stopping me, as entertaining you...
    right answer..

Has anyone ever told you there are lots of homophones in English?..
no, nobody told me, I learned english myself.

because you hadn't studied linguistics or logic as subjects, unlike your UK colleagues.
wrong assumption, I learned it more than a year.

Back to topic, I like how it defined in Oxford.
This description is precise, what is intension, what is extension. nothing similar in any Russian source.
