Personally I found out about the crash from organizers actually during one of the movie sessions. 298 candles were lighted up on the Festival square to commemorate the victims of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 crash in the Donetsk region.

Festival is not about fun, it is about uniting people which is so important nowadays when there is war in the country.
