Explanatory notes
What - If you have stumbled upon this web site then you are looking at my private Movie collection. These pages are an attempt to categorize my entire DVD collection of not only commercially bought titles but also films and drama series recorded from UK terrestrial television. As such this list will be forever growing. Feel free to peruse this site but please take the time to read these explanatory notes first.

How - All the documents comprising this little web site are written in HTML 4.01 Transitional and should therefore be readable in any browser at any resolution using whatever font sizes the end user chooses. Page compilation and database management is taken care of by The Flickz Compendious DVD organiser .

Navigation - All entries are organized alphabetically and displayed using simple but effective tables. The Primary Index Grid that appears across the top of every page gives access to all the main sections, Movies - Cast & Crew - Genres - Years - Packs - Flags and PDA Version. The secondary alphabetic grid will take you to the corresponding point within the selected main section. Each page visited will open in the same window. Simply use your browser's back button to retrace your steps where necessary. In addition to these themed pages there is also a full alphabetic listing of both the Movies and the Cast & Crew making it easy to find the film or person you are looking for.

Links - There are two distinct types of hyper-linked entries. This type of link is used for the index grids and external links into The Internet Movie Database or any other third-party site. By contrast, this type of link is used for inter-page navigation to track between movies and crew members and vice-versa.

Filmography - Clicking a hyper-linked Movie title or Cast & Crew member, will take you to the corresponding entry in The Internet Movie Database. From here you can research the entry in depth such as cast and crew, director, writers etc. The list is endless. If you find yourself using this facility a lot, why not register as a member. It's free. You can also search the imdb using the facility that appears at the top of some of the pages. Simply enter your search text and hit the Go button.

PDA Version - The Flickz program also compiles a corresponding set of web pages designed specifically to be displayed on a hand-held PDA type device. The scope of these pages is limited to a set of compact alphabetic Movie Title indices and the associated abridged detail pages. You can skip back-and-forth between each site version using the appropriate links in the Primary Index Grid. Please note that there is not a PDA version equivalent of all the pages that comprise the main site.

Plot Summaries - This little info icon in the movie title bar indicates that a corresponding plot summary has been prepared. The method for viewing these summaries will depend on the options selected at the time Flickz generated the pages. If overLIB was not selected, simply click the icon and the text will appear in a separate, reduced-sized, browser window. If overLIB was selected then the summaries will be displayed in a pop-up type window, either by mousing-over the icon or by clicking the icon. Again, the method in use depends on the options selected at compile time.

Related Entries - This icon in the movie title bar indicates that the movie is flagged as a Master IMDb entry. Clicking the icon will display a separate page showing the Master entry together with all it's related Duplicate IMDb entries. This method of classification is normally used to catalogue the individual box sets of TV series.

DVD Cover Images - This optional icon in the movie title bar indicates that a corresponding DVD cover sleeve image has been detected and clicking the icon will display the image in a separate, reduced-sized, browser window. Since these images are quite large (300-400kb even with 50% jpeg compression), this facility is normally reserved for local viewing only as up-loading hundreds of these files to your web site may well incur the wrath of your ISP service provider. There is, however, an option to suppress this icon when Flickz compiles the web pages to prevent file not found errors from occuring when the images are not present.

Latest Entries - This home page contains a list of all the entries flagged as new at the time the pages are generated by the Flickz program. Some items may appear on this list for several months but it simply means that I haven't yet got around to watching them, after which I will update the flag status.

Cast and Crew - These listings are arranged alphabetically based on forename rather than surname.
