Speed Limiter setting and Disabling – Transit 06-09
The following information explains how to use the speed limiter set/disable functionality offered on the Ford
application (V5.31 and later)

�� Transit (Can) 2006-2009
Overview
The Powertrain control module’s fitted to the ‘new’ Transit models (2006-2009) are configurable to allow a predetermined
maximum speed limit to be set. The available options are as follows:
�� Set 90 km/h limit
�� Set 100 km/h limit
�� Set 120 km/h limit
�� Disable limiting
Procedure
1) Connect tester to vehicle 16 pin diagnostic socket found behind the panel under the steering column
2) Select Ford application and Transit (2006-) model from the menu
3) Select ‘Drive’ from the menu and then ‘PCM’
4) Select the relevant engine from the menu
5) Switch ignition on and start communications following on screen prompts
6) When communications have been made select the ‘Additional Functions’ option from the menu
7) Select ‘Program Speed Limiter’; the currently set limit will be shown. Press <ENTER>
8) If the limit is to be changed select one of the following options and press <ENTER>
o Set to 90 km/h limit
o Set to 100 km/h limit
o Set 120 km/h limit
o Disable Speed limiting
